Funding & reimbursement

Funding the EZER.

How the EZER is funded depends on the country you live in and on what you need it for. Choose your country to see the route, who submits the application and what to prepare.

How funding works, in short.

The details differ per country, but the path is always similar.

Find the right route

Who pays depends on your country and on whether you need the EZER for work, education or daily life.

Prepare and apply

Use the checklist for your route. In most cases you or your care team submit the application, and we help with product information and a quote.

Decision and delivery

The funding body decides. After approval the EZER is ordered and delivered through J58 or your local partner.

You apply yourself at UWV with the form Voorziening of vergoeding aanvragen on mijn.uwv.nl. This applies if you work or start soon, are re-integrating or applying for jobs, or are self-employed. A medical report follows within 14 days after the application.

The same UWV form applies at every level, from primary school to university, as long as there is an enrolment at the educational institution. It can be for yourself or for your child.

You contact the Wmo desk of your municipality. A consultant discusses your situation in a kitchen-table conversation. The municipality can fund the EZER as care in kind, or as a personal budget (pgb) that you use to buy it from J58. Each municipality has its own rules.
