A standing wheelchair is a wheelchair that allows individuals to rise into a standing position, improving mobility, circulation, and social interaction. Usually standing wheelchairs are divided into electric and mechanical ones, and some wheelchairs like the EZER can move while in a standing position.
Individuals with spinal cord injuries, MS, cerebral palsy, or mobility limitations who want better posture, bone density, and daily function can benefit from the use of the EZER standing wheelchair.
Both exist! Manual models use mechanical systems (like the EZER), while powered ones use motors.
The EZER is designed for people who use a wheelchair but want the option to stand—at home, at work, or in rehab. It's especially helpful for those with spinal cord injuries or mobility impairments. Since the EZER is fully mechanical, the user still needs upper body strength to operate it.

The wheelchair features a patented front wheel design. When rising to a standing position, the front wheels automatically shift outward and forward, expanding the wheelbase. This innovative mechanism significantly increases stability and safety during use.
