About this policy.
J58 (Enschede, the Netherlands) runs this website. This page explains what we store on your device, which outside parties (third parties) are involved and how you can change your choice. We use very little: no analytics or advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no social media plug-ins. This policy follows the Dutch Telecommunications Act (article 11.7a) and the GDPR.

Third-party content (Google).
YouTube videos. Our videos are hosted by YouTube (Google). We use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and the videos load directly on the page. By accepting this cookie policy and our privacy policy you also accept these videos. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited can receive your IP address and device details and may place cookies or similar identifiers when a video loads or plays.
Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google's servers when a page opens, before you make a choice, because they are needed to show the site correctly. Google receives your IP address and browser details for this.
Other parties. The Blog page shows preview images loaded from publishers' websites and from Substack; those servers receive your IP address. Links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Substack and YouTube are ordinary links: you only leave j58.eu, and that party's own policy applies, when you click them. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Ads or any other tracking on this website.
Newsletter.
If you enter your email in the newsletter pop-up, it is sent to Substack, which runs our newsletter "The Next Wheelchair". Substack's own privacy policy applies to that. You can unsubscribe in every newsletter.
Your choices.
On your first visit we ask you to accept this cookie policy and our privacy policy, which include the YouTube videos. You can review this notice at any time with the button below. You can also delete stored data in your browser settings; we will then ask again.
How long we keep information.
See the table above. We keep your cookie choice for 12 months and then ask again. Data processed by Google falls under Google's own policies.
Your rights.
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect earlier use). Email us to make a request.
Complaints.
Please contact us first. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or to the authority in your own country.
International transfers.
Google may process data outside the EU, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in Google's own policies.
Changes to this policy.
If we change this policy we update the date at the top and, where needed, ask for your choice again.
